Lower Gwynedd, Pa. (July 2, 2026) — PGA REACH Philadelphia is proud to showcase the incredible impact made possible by the generosity of Scott and Karen Hutchinson. Thanks to their generosity, veterans will be able to attend PGA HOPE clinics at the Lehigh Country Club and Saucon Valley Country Club chapters completely free of charge.
PGA HOPE is PGA REACH Philadelphia’s flagship program of their military pillar. As part of the outreach, active duty service members and veterans are able to attend free six-week golf clinics where they receive comprehensive instruction taught by PGA of America Golf Professionals. Recognized as a form of therapy by the VA Hospital, PGA HOPE brings the emotional, physical and spiritual offerings of golf to those who need it most.
The Hutchinsons have been long-time supporters of PGA REACH Philadelphia and PGA HOPE, having been trustee members since 2019. Their donations throughout the years have first-hand supported the growth of PGA HOPE in the Philadelphia Section, by covering the operating costs for several new programs, thus allowing our foundation to reach new veterans across the greater Philadelphia area.
“We could not be more thankful for the support shown from Scott and Karen Hutchinson,” said Philadelphia PGA Assistant Executive Director and Foundation Director Courtney Curcio. “Their unwavering kindness has allowed us to bring golf to dozens of veterans in need and we look forward to the positive impacts this new endowment will have.”
