Philadelphia, PA – PGA REACH Philadelphia, the 501(c)(3) charitable foundation of the Philadelphia PGA Section, is proud to share the inspiring journey of Rachel Goetz, a former PGA WORKS Fellow whose dedication has taken her from Aronimink Golf Club to a flourishing career in the golf industry.
Rachel’s journey began at Aronimink Golf Club, where she gained her initial experience and passion in the field. She later joined the PGA WORKS Fellowship, a program designed to open doors to individuals from historically underrepresented backgrounds—by gender, age, race or color, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or Veteran status—offering them an opportunity to explore all facets of the golf industry. Currently, the PGA WORKS Fellowship operates across 22 PGA Sections and two affiliated organizations, providing career-building opportunities to diverse talent.
During her 12-15 month fellowship, Rachel supported impactful programs like the PGA Jr. League and PGA HOPE and built connections with industry professionals. These experiences led her to the PGA Championship team after her fellowship, where she advanced as Volunteer Operations Coordinator for the 2024 PGA Championship. Today, she continues her career as the Tournament Services Specialist for the 2025 Truist Championship at Philadelphia Cricket Club.
Since 2017, over 81% of PGA WORKS Fellows have secured positions within the golf industry, underscoring the program’s effectiveness in creating lasting impact. Rachel’s success exemplifies the opportunities that PGA REACH Philadelphia aims to provide, and we look forward to being a small part of journeys like hers in the future through the PGA WORKS Fellowship.
