Lower Gwynedd Township, Pa. – PGA REACH Philadelphia, the 501(c)(3) charitable foundation of the Philadelphia PGA Section, is proud to share the memorable season of Megan Choi, a recipient of our Philadelphia PGA Junior Tour Diversity Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to candidates of diverse backgrounds who have a strong passion for the game of golf.

Throughout her two seasons as a scholarship recipient, Megan has flourished as a golfer, dropping from a 93 stroke average in 2023 to an impressive 86 in 2024. She even participated in the PIAA State Golf Championship where she placed T-10. Megan’s skills were not just showcased in tournament golf, but also the summer-long Drive, Chip & Putt competitions. Megan advanced all the way to the Regionals at Aronimink Golf Club, placing first in the Chip Skill and seventh overall.

The Diversity Scholarship holds a special place in our mission because it provides opportunities for aspiring golfers from underrepresented communities to pursue their passion for the game while furthering their education. We are very proud to showcase golfers like Megan, who have been so successful so early on in their golf careers and look forward to seeing all the tremendous accomplishments she will continue to attain.
