Doylestown, Pa. (August 13, 2024) – Doylestown Country Club will be the host of the National Car Rental Philadelphia PGA Jr. League 13u Section Championship. All-Star teams will consist of the best eight junior golfers ages 10-13 in their league. They will all compete for a chance to advance onto the Regional Championship at Maple Dale Country Club on September 6-8.

Through PGA Jr. League, kids ages 17 and under learn and play golf on co-ed teams, wear numbered jerseys and receive expert coaching from PGA of America Golf Professionals and LPGA Professionals. Following recreational play in the spring and summer, hundreds of 13u and 17u All-Star teams are formed in each league to compete in the National Car Rental Philadelphia PGA Jr. League Championship Season.

The teams that have qualified for this year’s section championship are: Delaware 2 (Blue), led by Coach Matt Finger, PGA, and the Penn State All Stars, led by Coach Garret Cwalina, PGA, who secured their spots at the West Qualifier Play Date on July 30 at Honeybrook G.C.; and the Radnor All Stars, led by Coach David Zimmaro, PGA, and Delaware Beaches, led by Coach Corey Phillips, PGA, who won the East Qualifier Play Date on August 6th at Philmont C.C.. The morning round will start at 10 a.m., with Delaware 2 taking on the Penn State All Stars and the Radnor All Stars competing against the Delaware Beaches. The winners of these matches will advance to the afternoon round of competition. The format for the Championship is match-play.
