Lower Gwynedd Twp., Pa. (July 10, 2025) — PGA REACH Philadelphia is pleased to announce its new PGA HOPE Ambassador, George Vasiloff. Out of the 41 Sections who nominate veterans, only 20 are selected for this honorary position. Ambassadors are the spokespersons for PGA HOPE and by actively engaging in community events and networking, they encourage more veterans to participate in the programs. George is joining a small group of other Ambassadors from the Philadelphia PGA Section; Sean Sanders (2019), Garret Hrynko (NJ Ambassador 2022), and Aaron Ojard (2024).
George Vasiloff served honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1993 to 2014, attaining the rank of CMSGT (E-9). He began attending PGA HOPE at Harrisburg Country Club in 2018, where he immediately experienced the program’s positive impacts.

George’s dedication led him to become a squad leader at the Harrisburg Chapter in 2022, a role in which he has played a crucial role in helping the program remain one of the largest in the Philadelphia Section. Beyond his mentorship of fellow veterans, George also serves as a vital resource, providing support and guidance as they navigate various challenges.
“I love golf and have personally helped a few veterans from some very dark places because of this program,” said George. “I even was in some of those dark places myself. I want to continue to grow this great program and continue to help Veterans and by being selected as an ambassador, learning more ways to help people would be awesome.”
Outside of PGA HOPE, George is heavily involved with his military unit’s Alumni Association, working with retired military and helping the troops still serving. He also works with various organizations such as American Legion, VFW, AMVETS and the Sons of the American Legion, helping veterans with all types of issues.
George is the embodiment of a PGA HOPE Ambassador: he is passionate, driven, and deeply committed to the needs of his fellow veterans. We are truly honored to work alongside him as we continue to grow the PGA HOPE Program and reach even more veterans in need. George’s ambassadorship officially begins later this year at Congressional Country Club where he will join others at a health and wellness conference to receive training.

The program introduces the game of golf through a developmental 6-8 week curriculum, PGA/LPGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency.
