State College, Pa. (August 4, 2025) — The Delaware Beach All Stars made history on August 4th, winning their third consecutive PGA Jr. League 13u Section Championship at the Penn State Golf Courses with a two round total of 210. Their remarkable victory marks the first time a 13u team has ever accomplished a three-peat in the Section. 

Behind every dynasty is a dedicated leader. For the Delaware Beach All Stars, that leader is PGA Professional Corey Phillips, the Head Golf Professional at Baywood Greens. Phillips has been at the helm for the past several years with this being his ninth season coaching PGA Jr. League. On the course, two players have who have had the rare privilege of being part of all three championship teams: Sahil Shajwani and Brody Rollins, who have had the rare privilege of being part of all three championship teams. Though Shajwani ages out this year, Rollins still is still eligible for one more year, giving him the opportunity to compete for a fourth possible championship.

The PGA Jr. League Section Championship featured 17 All-Star teams from the Philadelphia Section competing over two consecutive nine-hole rounds. The format was a partner scramble, with the lowest three scores from each team counting toward the total.

“The Section Championship is always a special event, bringing together 17 teams in one place to compete. It’s a steppingstone to Regionals, and with the new playday system, it takes some pressure off, allowing us to enjoy the moment as a team,” said Coach Corey Phillips.  “Golf is usually such an individual sport, so it’s neat to see our entire group hanging out, sharing their rounds, and supporting each other. This event gives our team a chance to grow closer and truly feel like a family.”

Phillips and his team will continue on to compete at the Regional Championship, taking place on September 5-7 at Maple Dale Country Club. Best of luck Team Delaware Beach!
